Exhibitions and installations

Tapestries by Hung Liu and Donald & Era Farnsworth at the Fresno Art Museum in 2006

Just a reminder to check out the Exhibitions and Installations section of Magnolia's website, which features photo galleries of artworks from Magnolia in a variety of settings worldwide.

Magnolia publications have appeared at museums and venues all over the country, from Santa Barbara to Seattle, Reno to Chicago, and in international exhibitions from London to Romania.

Sylvia White Gallery has even created an interactive, panoramic view of a 2008 show of Magnolia tapestries that is the next best thing to being there.

The Exhibitions section also includes a gallery of artists such as Rupert Garcia, Chuck Close, Mildred Howard, David Best, Mel Ramos, Hung Liu, Deborah Oropallo, and Enrique Chagoya working at Magnolia; even emerging artists such as Kamau Patton and Tauba Auerbach make an appearance!

Please enjoy and since many of these galleries have been recently revamped, let us know if you experience any technical difficulties.

David Best at the studio

David Best worked at Magnolia today on a series of mixed-media prints that incorporate techniques including etching, acrylic printing, colored pencil, and collage, to name just a few.

The results so far are spectacular, and although we can't show you any finished work just yet, here are some behind-the-scenes photos of the process and its interesting byproducts (all photos by Nick Stone):

Open studios/framed art sale

This weekend June 11-12, 2011 Magnolia Editions will participate in Pro Arts Open Studios!

The studio will be open for visitors from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm both Saturday and Sunday, and we will also offer special pricing for these two days only on framed artwork from thirty years of lithography, etching, mixed media, genre-defying multiples, and more. Some unframed work will also be available at a special price.

The sale is only for visitors; sale prices and details will not be available by web, email or phone. Sorry, we cannot ship framed sale pieces.

Visitors are encouraged to preview images by some of the artists Magnolia has worked with over the last three decades on our website.
