new Close proofs

Exciting new proofs of potential tapestry editions by Chuck Close:

Hung Liu mural at SFO

An epic work on panel by Hung Liu was installed at SFO Airport late last year, and Donald Farnsworth took these photos of it en route to Japan in December. Also check out the photos below of Liu working on the piece at Magnolia to really get a sense of its massive scale.

It’s not the chain stores and the strip malls. All the cities one loves—cities with soul and charisma—recognize and support the artists and craftspeople in their midst."
